Many older Americans have been trying to keep their minds sharp by doing crosswords, learning to play and instrument or a new language. Some seniors are playing video games, anything that will keep them thinking.

They found that Alzheimer's is a bigger source of anxiety for Americans than heart disease, stroke and diabetes. It is now thought that an exercise regiment will also improve your memory or hold off the onset of Alzheimer's as you age. In a six-year study of over 1500 adults that was published last year, researchers found that adults that exercise 3 or more times a week were less likely to develop dementia. A similar study conducted in 2005 had the same results.
