Today, Monday October 1, 2007, commemorates the International Day of Older Persons. This day is looked upon to bring awareness to senior citizens to remain active and lead healthier lives. Senior health and fitness has become a huge issue in today's society because the average age of life expectancy is on the rise.Many community leaders have expressed interest in getting involved with this issue. Many said they would like to see senior citizens focus on living healthier lives and see community organizations to expand their role in senior health and fitness.
