Presidential Hopeful Hillary Clinton Discuss Senior Health Care

senior health care
Hillary Clinton was recently shown in a press conference discussing senior health care. She stated that the government has not kept up with the ways seniors are changing and the health care system needs to reform. Clinton stated that she wanted to allow seniors to stay in the "least restrictive" environment for long-term care, ideally in their own homes.

Clinton stressed that senior issues are not isolated but part of generational, family issues. People are living a lot longer and society needs to be more creative with its responses then in the past.

She called for major improvements in the long term care insurance industry dealing with seniors. A huge factor for senior voters is their health care. With a large percentage of voters being senior citizens, presidential candidates often target senior citizen problems. A huge topic every election year is senior health care.

With a new presidential election coming in 2008, candidates are hitting the campaign trail trying to gather as many voters as they can. Senior health care is a touchy subject because voters do not want to hear any bad news about it. They only want positive outlooks on their health care issues.
